Injustice reigns throughout the world because of the bad governments. They have caused so much pain and injustice toward the Mexican people. They have sought to quiet us, those of us who defend our rights as human beings; this includes defending our forests, land, water, culture and our languages. As a result, many compañerxs have been shot, forcefully disappeared, and unjustly incarcerated as a means to silence us. An example is the case of the compañero Miguel Peralta who was falsely accused of crimes that he did not commit. He has been on a hunger strike for more than 20 days.

As the organizations La Voz de Indigenas en Resistancia and La Voz Verdadera del Amate, we express our solidarity with Miguel, joining in the demand for his freedom. There are many inconsistencies in our legal cases. Only through struggle can true change and the unity of the compañeros be achieved. We will not be defeated easily. Only the construction of an Indigenous Governing Council in Mexico, whether it be campesino or worker, will quickly end the injustices of the bad governments that today we are suffering. “Enough with so many injustices!!” We will continue struggling and resisting until we achieve real justice.

Finally, we invite the state, national and international organizations to continue demanding true justice and freedom for all of the political prisoners and prisoners of conscious throughout the world.

“Uniting the voices and forces of the Mexican people, true justice will triumph”

Respectfully,
