We denounce the “Lobo” group. Today in the early morning, an act of aggression was carried out against us at around 1:30 am. We were forced to get up for a supposed revision but it was rather a robbery. They destroyed the encampment we have maintained since this past March 15. They robbed from us our tarp with which we protect ourselves from the sun and rain. They also stole $500 pesos that one of our compañeros had left there in his wallet. They left the wallet but took the money. They left us without water for our personal hygiene. At 9:00 am today we went to ask for water and the commander Chente didn’t respond to us. This is a clear act of repression on part of the government. Far from facilitating justice, they have increased the abuse of power. Alejandro Constantino Hernández, the director of this prison, has retaliated against us. We have already denounced his corruption within this prison along with his accomplices who extort the families of new inmates and who have also carried out multiple acts of torture inside this prison.

That is why we ask national and international human rights organizations, independent social organizations, to demand justice and speak out against repression. We ask that you are attentive to the events taking place.

Sincerely,
