San Isidro los Laureles Recuperate Their Lands
To the autonomous organizations of Mexico
To the national and international organizations
To the comrades, adherents of the sixth declaration of the Lacandona jungle
To the comrades of the EZLN
To the National Indigenous Congress (CNI)
On the 20th of December 2015, at 11 am, we decided to retake the farms from those who claim to be their owners, Francisco Ruiz, Rodrigo Ruiz, Octavin Albores in the municipality of Venustiano Carranza, Chiapas.
We carried out this action because our grandfathers, grandmothers, and parents, who were resident peons, worked these lands. Since 1940, they have worked for minimum wage, never have they been given benefits or bonuses. For our families, because we haven’t a place to live and work for our livelihood as indigenous people, we recuperate the land.
We ask for solidarity from other autonomous organizations in Mexico and elsewhere with our struggle to live, work, and sustain our families.
A revolutionary, if not acting with dignity, is not a revolutionary.
San Isidro los Laureles, Members of Semilla Digna, adherents of the sixth declaration of the Lacandona jungle of the EZLN.
