Today, July 17th, at 11:30 am, a group of armed and masked men kidnapped the regional coordinator of CODEDI, Abraham Hernández González, from his home in Salchi Cuatunalco, Pochutla, Oaxaca. He is 42 years old. The armed group were in a grey truck with the license plate number RH-70-92 accompanied by another individual on a motorcycle. They were all masked and dressed in military gear. CODEDI and other solidarity organizations demand the government of Murat the immediate return of our compañero. This act adds to the ambush and assassination of three compañeros of CODEDI in February of this year. And afterwards, the detention of compañero Fredy, also a coordinator of CODEDI.
We hold responsible the governor of Oaxaca, Alejandro Murat, for the disappearance of the compañero and we demand his immediate return. We call on the fraternal social organizations of Oaxaca and the compañerxs teachers of section 22 for solidarity in the diffusion of this denunciation. We reserve the right to mobilize in the streets to stop once and for all these aggressions of the PRI government of Alejandro Murat and his groups of organized crime against CODEDI, the social organizations and people of Oaxaca.
