April 17: ELCOR on the International Day of Prisoners and Political Prisoners
San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico
To our compañerxs, political prisoners of Mexico and the world
To the families of our political prisoners
To the EZLN
To the national indigenous congress
To the national and international sixth
To the free, autonomous and alternative media
From our collective heart, and as part of the Red Contra la Represión y por la Solidaridad (RvsR) those that make up the Espacio de Lucha contra el Olvido y la Represión we are here to again remember each and every person who is behind doors, unjustly locked up; to everyone who was here today struggling with us, and to those that struggle from behind bars.
The prisoners live through the continued torture of enclosure and the repressive state gives the message to society that anybody can wind up in this situation if they raise their voice for liberty and justice.
As ELCOR, we protest against the unjust incarceration of our compañeros and compañeras due to racism and discrimination that so ften takes place in the south of Mexico.
Today and always, we extend our hearts and our rage to the families of our political prisoners—you are not alone. From our trenches, we struggle along with you.
For the prisoners, the horizon looks…
Freedom to the political prisoners!
Down with the prison walls!
Contra el olvido la Memoria
Contra la repression la Solidaridad
Espacio de Lucha contra el Olvido y la Represión
