March 29, 2019
Compañeros and compañeras, brothers and sisters in struggle held behind these four walls. We have already been on a hunger strike now for two weeks and we feel weak with stomach pain.
Today, March 29th, after fifteen days of a hunger strike, we have sewn our mouths shut to symbolize how the governor of the state of Chiapas, Rutilio Escandón Cadenas, has not heard our voices.
Maybe because we are humble, poor and Indigenous and for him we are not of much value. We still do not have a response from him.
Our struggle will continue. We will continue demanding our immediate, absolute and unconditional freedom. Because for many years we have endured injustice.
We hold responsible the governor of Chiapas, C. Rutilio Escandón Cadenas, for our lives and all that happens to us because he is in charge of providing a solution.
Sincerely,
Organization Viniketik in Resistance
