WIGKADUGUN:
To all of our sisters and brothers, both Mapuche as well as Chilean people in solidarity with our cause as a people and nation. We make this call from the interior of our territories and from our ancient Mapuche knowledge that continues to endure. From the necessary unity as people and in dialogue with those that stand in solidarity and understand our pain.
What Celstino Córdova is living through today, is the suffering, torture and pain of a people. The deprivation of his spiritual practice affects us all, especially in a period of renewal such as which is approaching with the return of our Xipantu. That is in addition to the intent to sell our lands to real estate companies and collect contributions, with the complete complicity of ex-leaders and state functionaries of Mapuche origin.
Thus, we convoke a Mapuche social mobilization of protest for this Wednesday, June 20th, to begin at 10 in the morning in the Plaza Hospital de Temuko. From there, we will demand respect for our spiritual authority and for the rights of our land that they seek to hand over to capitalist business of the government. We will not allow that they imprison our religiosity or force us to pay to be owners of a small portion of our territory.
