Message of Support and Solidarity from the Indigenous Government Council and the National Indigenous Congress to the Yaqui Tribe

To the People of Mexico

To the National and International Sixth

To the Media

To the People of the World

Before the grave situation being lived by our Yaqui brothers and sisters, as the Indigenous Government Council and the National Indigenous Congress, we reject the violence and discord being shamelessly sown by the bosses of money to fulfill their crime. The ambitions of the capitalist governors are to impose, through war, a gas pipeline in the territory of various communities, where they want to construct on top of the blood, robbery and dispossession of the land of the Yaqui tribe.

We condemn the violent acts that took place on April 30th in Loma de Bácum, a product of the hate and death that has been sown to impose their megaprojects and which cost the life of the young person Víctor Adolfo Molina Vásqeuz. It is the same war that has kept our compañero Fidencio Aldama Pérez unjustly imprisoned, from the attack on the same community in October 21st, 2016.

We hold responsible the bad government of Sonora and the bad federal government for whatever aggression that might occur at the hands of the repressive forces, whether they are police, military, paramilitary or “shock” groups, against the community of Loma de Bácum, along with the other communities of the Yaqui tribe that struggle and resist the criminals that have kidnapped our country.

Furthermore, the Indigenous Government Council and the National Indigenous Congress reject the arbitrary and cowardly detention of León Fierro in Mexicali, Baja California this past May 4th on part of the ministerial police outside his home. He has been accused of homicide. The compañero has been part of the resistance against the privatization and robbery of water by the company Constellations Brands and his kidnapping by the repressive forces of the capitalists is part of the criminalization with which the bad government of Baja California has responded to the organization of the people from below.

We salute the dignified struggles of the Wixárika people in defense of their sacred homeland. We join the demand for the restitution of invaded territories carried out by ranchers of Huajimic, Nayarit and we hold responsible the bad government of Jalisco, Nayarit and the bad federal government for the violence that has been generated in the region from this serious conflict.

Our call is to stop the shameless and violent robbery that the group of delinquents (government of this country) is carrying out and we continue denouncing their commitment to war that is strengthening, for which solidarity and organization is the response we need as Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
